The GTO was a mid-sized muscular car produced by GM's Pontiac department. Originally presented in the 1964 model-year, the GTO stayed in development through 1974. The GTO was depending on the more ordinary Pontiac Tempest through the 1967 model-year then was completely restyled in 1968 depending on the new Pontiac LeMans. The 1969 GTO had only minimal modifications over the past model-year. The Assess was an choice program for the GTO that included certain equipment, such as "Judge" stickers on the body factors.
The Assess Package
The Assess choice program, available for the first time on 1969 GTO vehicle and sports convertible designs, involved a journey and managing program, special move tires, a ram-air consumption, black grill, air aluminum foil and a sticker program. The Assess program also involved the Ram-Air III website. The Assess program included $337 to the price of a conventional GTO. A GTO sports convertible started at $3,382 while the hardtop vehicle came in at $3,156. Originally, the external colour for Assess designs was restricted to Slide carousel Red with yellow-colored, red and azure lines. Later in the model-year Most judges could be requested in other GTO colour techniques with distinct red stripe shades to go with.
