The Sea-Doo SPX is a watercraft that can be used in water or salt-water. The purpose of winterizing the Sea-Doo is to prevent sediments such as sodium from settling up inside of the website over winter several weeks season. Other purposes include cleaning, lubricating and properly storing the jet ski. The main reason that the Sea-Doo is to be winterized is so that it can be safely maintained and stored over winter several weeks season to ensure that it can be ready to use when the warmer several weeks roll around.
Instructions
1
Wash the Sea-Doo thoroughly with soapy water and a sponge to eliminate any sodium from the external of the machine. Rinse off the soapy water and buff dry the vehicle with a clean, smooth fabric.
2
Remove all of the contents from the Sea-Doo Cleanse Kit. The kit should include a little water hose and a couple of water hose accessories. Unscrew all of the water drain connects. Hook the water hose from the flush kit to the water-injector port on the website. Use any of the water hose accessories if necessary.
3
Twist the end of a water hose onto the end of the flushing water hose. Crank the website and let it idle for about 30 seconds. Convert on the water hose and let the water eliminate the website. Allow the water to flow through the website until the clear water is flowing out of the exhaust, impeller grate and the cooling ports. Convert off the website and then shut down the water hose. Leave the drain valves open.
4
Ease and eliminate all of the ignite connects from the Sea-Doo website with a ratchet and a ignite connect plug. Spray a bit of lubricating oil into each ignite connect hole. Twist the ignite connects back in and tighten with the ratchet and plug. The lubricating oil will keep the pistons, rings and the igniter on the ignite connect lubricated over winter several weeks season.
5
Ease and eliminate power supply cords from power supply with an adjustable wrench. Position power supply cords out of the way of power supply posts so that they do not touch each other. Fill up the gas container with clean petrol and allow the clean petrol to sit inside of the gas container over winter several weeks season to keep the gas container conditioned.
6
Wax the external of the Sea-Doo SPX with boat wax and a clean smooth fabric. Use little circular motions when applying the wax. Once the wax begins to haze over, wipe the wax off of the Sea-Doo with another smooth fabric. Apply as many coats of wax as needed to bring the external of the machine to a glossy finish.
7
Cover the Sea-Doo SPX with the appropriate cover. Store it in a dry place if at all possible. If the Sea-Doo is on a movie trailer, ensure that a tarp is placed over the Sea-Doo and the movie trailer.
