How to Fix a Flow in a Reefer Trailer

Most all reefer trailer are created out of thick metal. The reefer trailer are created to keep the products within of the movie trailer at a certain heat range. A leak in the metal can cause water and air to get within and disrupt the temperatures. Whether the destruction to the movie trailer is on the roof or on the sides, the destruction can be fixed with a simple metal spot and obvious plastic.

Instructions

        Inspect the broken position of the reefer movie trailer. Most harm is the result of a stress crack or direct impact. Tap down any areas of the destruction that might be sticking up with a rubber mallet.

        Evaluate the size of the broken position. Add 2 " wide to the statistic so the metal spot will overlap the broken position. Level the size dimensions plus the 2 " wide with a permanent marking and a immediately advantage.

        Excellent sand down the calculated position with fine resolution sand paper. Use a fresh rag to remove away the unwanted sand. Evaluate a piece of metal sheets the same size as the calculated position around the destruction. Level the dimensions on the metal sheets with the marking and a immediately advantage.

        Cut the calculated metal sheets with the metal shears. Excellent sand down the sides of the metal spot with the fine resolution sand paper.

        Put the metal spot over the broken position of the reefer movie trailer. Hold the spot in position with one hand and routine the gaps absolutely around the sides of the spot with the electric routine and a small routine bit. The gaps need to be spread one inches apart, and the distance from the opening and the advantage of the spot should be 1/2 inches.

        Clean away the unwanted shavings from the spot. Pull the spot off of the broken position and remove down the broken position with a fresh rag. Add a nice quantity of obvious plastic around the bottom sides of the spot with the caulking gun.

        Press the spot firmly in position over the broken position so the routine gaps of the spot and the routine gaps of the movie trailer line up. Place a pop rivet within each routine opening and pop each rivet into the spot and the movie trailer with a pop rivet gun until the spot is absolutely riveted over the broken position.

        Clean down the sides of the spot with a fresh rag. Add another nice quantity of obvious plastic around the sides of the spot and the movie trailer. Wait several hours for the plastic to set.

  1. After fixing the damaged part of the trailer, inspect it again thoroughly for possible damages or leaks. Even a small hole on the trailer can change the temperature inside, which can affect the products, particularly if you have perishable goods stored in it.
